Pegotec, in collaboration with GIZ, launched the “Seth Yerng – Our Rights” app, a transformative digital tool designed to empower Cambodian garment workers with comprehensive knowledge of their rights, duties, and labor laws. The user-friendly app, available for Android and iOS, was unveiled during an online launch meeting on March 10, 2021, where its significance in equipping workers with crucial information was emphasized. It was developed using cutting-edge technologies including PHP8 for secure data management, Flutter for cross-platform user interface development, APIs for real-time updates, and reactive programming for a responsive and interactive user experience. The app is expected to significantly impact Cambodia’s garment sector, promoting fair working conditions and enhancing labor rights awareness.
