Pegotec has developed an Explosive Ordnance (EO) Identification Mobile App in partnership with Humanity & Inclusion, enhancing humanitarian mine action in the Mekong region. The app, part of the RIMA initiative, upgrades the UXO Reference Manual, aiming to increase UXO disposal safety by improving identification capabilities. Developed with Laravel and Flutter, the system comprises an administration web application and a mobile app for user-friendly EO navigation.

Pegotec has developed a mobile application for Cambodia’s IDPoor Programme, a critical poverty alleviation initiative. This app introduces new poverty measurement methods, improving data accuracy and subsequently the aid delivery process via “Equity Cards”. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Pegotec, in collaboration with Web Essentials and Germany’s GIZ, developed a COVID-19 extension for the IDPoor app, repurposing it to support affected families in Cambodia. The team enhanced the app’s functionality to provide real-time data about families in need, optimizing aid delivery, and ensuring that support was targeted effectively. This joint effort resulted in over 60,000 households registered for assistance, demonstrating the transformative power of technology combined with commitment during times of adversity.

Pegotec, in partnership with CARE Cambodia, has developed GoodOldSister, an Android game designed to educate players about contraception. The game empowers players to become knowledgeable mentors, answering daily contraception-related questions and earning points for correct responses. With its aim to promote responsible contraceptive practices, the game provides informative messages to explain the correct answers, ensuring continuous learning and understanding. This interactive and engaging platform is not only educational but also advocates for informed decision-making and the adoption of responsible contraceptive practices.
