CARE International in Cambodia is a renowned international development organization that fights global poverty, with a special emphasis on working with women and girls to bring sustainable change to their communities. With its deep-rooted presence in Cambodia since 1973, CARE has been actively working to empower marginalized individuals. This is including urban women, rural women, and women and girls from ethnics.

Enhancing the CHAT Mobile Game App

The objective of the project was to enhance the CHAT Mobile Game App serves as an interactive platform to improve knowledge and influence worker behavior in the factory industry. This multifaceted app encompasses an interactive training session, a video screening session, and a quiz game, all thoughtfully designed to engage users. Additionally, it offers content in both Khmer and English languages, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for a wider audience.

Pegotec’s Role: Development, Backend Infrastructure, and Reporting Tools

Pegotec’s role was to develop an appealing front-end game, establish a robust back-end infrastructure, and provide comprehensive reporting tools. The goal was to create an engaging and user-friendly app while ensuring compatibility with Chinese-made smartphones and other devices available in the market.

Frontend Enhancement: User-Friendly and Attractive App

To enhance the front-end game application, Pegotec leveraged its expertise in Android app development. The primary objective was to improve the app’s attractiveness and user-friendliness. Consequently, the team worked closely with CARE International, diligently ensuring seamless compatibility with Chinese-made smartphones and other devices.

Robust Backend Infrastructure: Data Management and Analysis

The backend infrastructure and reporting tools were meticulously designed to facilitate effective data management and analysis. Moreover, Pegotec developed a synchronized system that enabled the seamless backup and visualization of user data. Pegotec offered bug resolution and hosting support to ensure the app’s optimal performance. The team also provided training to CARE staff on how to effectively use the frontend app and manage the backend system. User guides were produced to facilitate smooth app administration.

Hosting support and maintenance was provided for one year after the development period.
